Hello hello hello, if you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you know that I’m currently (re)reading Ngozi’s ‘sawesome web comic: Check, Please!

The story’s about this tiny southern boy named Eric Bittle, a former figure skater who loves baking pies, and who ends up going to college on a hockey scholarship. He keeps a vlog, where he talks about baking and his hockey teammates (who, by the way, are the best characters to ever exist).

I’m sort of obsessed with this web comic. The story, the characters, the dialogue, the art…they’re all incredible. I get all warm and fuzzy thinking about Bittle and his overly loud hockey team (I’ve adopted them all as my fictional children).

Aaaaaand because of that, it’s no surprise that I decided to bake a pie in Bitty’s honor.

I used ittybittybakes (Tumblr)’s recipe: Bitty’s Love Pie (aka. Maple Sugar Crusted Apple Pie).

I’d never made a pie before in my entire life, so I was sort of surprised that it worked out! It tasted great and I definitely recommend it. Bitty would be proud 🍰 🏒📚
